Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. 👋

I'm Abhishek, a software engineer by day and... well, still a software engineer by night, but with a lot more unfiltered excitement and curiosity about tech, automation, and all things geeky. This blog? It’s where I plan to go all-in, sharing the projects I’m tinkering with, hacks I’ve come up with, and maybe some untested life philosophies because hey, why not?

Why This Blog?

Let’s face it, my brain is overflowing with ideas and experiments, and my friends have stopped asking what I'm up to because they’re not ready for a 30-minute explanation on why I’m setting up another mirrored zfs vdev with just 50% storage efficiency 🤦 . So instead, I’m putting it all here, hoping to connect with people who get it, or at least have a sense of humour about it.

Plus, I realised that half the fun of doing these projects is sharing them. Whether it's a new setup for my home server, a nerdy deep-dive into software, or just a fun experiment, I'm here to document the chaos.

What You Can Expect

Here’s what I’m planning to share:

  1. Techie Deep Dives: Expect posts about tools, setups, and tips, especially if you’re into self-hosting, home labs, automation, or generally making tech do what it probably wasn’t supposed to do.
  2. Automation Adventures: I’ll admit, I’m borderline obsessed with automating everything. If I can save myself 30 seconds of effort by spending three days setting up automation, it’s totally worth it.
P.S. I once wrote a whole python tool to just sync multiple github repositories to specific folders at once. It still lives at https://github.com/abhishekr700/repo-manager and I'M SO PROUD OF IT 😏
  3. Project Logs: Think of this as my DIY corner but for tech. I’ll be logging my experiments, both successful and otherwise (because failure is just part of the process, right?).
  4. Random Thoughts: Sometimes, I just need a place to share random thoughts. Like, why do all my tests work except when I need them to? Or will AI really replace me ? the latest in AI ? or why are almost no games made for MacBooks ?

Future Plans: Going Nuts in the Best Way Possible

As much as I’m excited to start sharing all these little projects, I’m even more excited about the conversations that come out of them. Feel free to comment, reach out, or just nerd out with me. Whether you’re here for tech tips, inspiration for your own projects, or just a laugh at the chaos that is my setup, I’m glad you stopped by.

Thanks for being here at the start of what I hope will be a fun, mildly chaotic, and incredibly nerdy journey. Stay tuned, and welcome to the madness.

P.S. I’ll probably regret half of what I post here when I look back in a year, but that’s just part of the fun, right?
